Following the success of the Gold album Trap Muzik, the self-proclaimed King of the South is back. T.I. brought the hype with his new album titled Urban Legend.

T.I. has been building anticipation to this release since his incarceration in March of 2004. Followed by the controversy with Houston’s Lil’ Flip over the title of ‘King of the South’ and dozens of underground tracks on the mixtape circuit. The club banger “Bring ‘Em Out” produced by Swizz Beatz and the street anthem “You Don’t Know Me” produced by DJ Toomp definitely set the center stage for the ‘take over’.

The album also had guest appearances from Pharell Williams, B.G., Lil Jon, DAZ, Jazzie Pha, Mannie Fresh, Nelly and production from Lil Jon, KLC, Scott Storch, Fury, DJ Toomp, KAO & Sanchez.

The Atlanta artist shows quite a bit of skill on this album. His flow is unquestionably on point as he rips every beat with ease; all of the hooks are catchy. There is not one verse on this album that’s bad. He gets in depth about life and tells moralistic stories and does it in a way where he won’t loose any listener’s attention.

This album ranges from the more laid back sound of “Prayer for help” to the up tempo “Get Loose” featuring Nelly. To list all the hot tracks would be preposterous because the entire album is worth listening too.

Within the first week following the release the album ranked #7 on the Billboard’s Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard’s Top 20 R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. It also brought in over 190,000 sales.
