T-Bo from the 504 Boyz outta Baton Rouge drops "Firecracker" album. Hmm can he make it on his own? This album doesnt have as many features on it as he could've got, I guess he wanted to prove himself to any doubters. Of course he's joined by his South Coast Coalition comrads and a few other features along with a plethora of producers. (Look it up) The album sold out on pre-orders before it even hit stores. Like I said about the Down-South.Compilation.... "Enough Said"!!!

The album opens up with "FireCracker" a track that was produced by DJ Chill and the beat is so damn tight that I really cant explain it. The hook is T-Bo yellin "I'm on fire!!!, you bitches think that I'm jokin, you better check your smoke detecter, I got your whole block smokin..."

"Our Way" was a little bit of a shock to me when I first heard it. It samples the opening theme to the old TV Show Lavergne & Sherley for its hook and remodified the beat. The hook goes "Nothin's gonna turn us back now, straight ahead on the track now, we're gonna make our dreams come true, we're gonna do it our way" The song is different but its real nice.

Bass Heavy produces a more mellow beat for the next track "Who Is That?" The bassline on this song is so tight, then when the chorus kicked in....Mane! You just got to hear the shit to see what I mean, the chorus goes "Whooo Isss That" just in sync with the bassline, its real tight one of my favorite tracks. Of course T-Bo drops nothin but tight verses all the way through.

"Comin Down" was produced by Kojack, it's another real tight beat and like the first 4 tracks on this album it's a solo album by T-Bo, yes he can hold is own and he does on this song.

Chaotic produced "Dat Thang" and I dont know what he was smokin or snotin' when he produced this track cause you aint heard a southern rap beat quite like this before and thats a compliment. It's like some old jazz mardi gras shit. The shit is catchy as hell, it could fuck around and be a hit record. Mookie is featured on this track and compliments it nicely.

This album has a gang of producers, "Sunshine" was produced by Happy P and it features Lil Witness and Delvin Wright. Of course the beat is gravy, cause HP produced it. This track isnt about hoes or money, it's about sunshine at the end of the road. It's one of those real nice reminiscent type of tracks.

Krazy from the 504 Boyz joins T-Bo on "Jealousy" with the point to ride on them jealous bitches. Yet another producer DJ Chill handled the production on this song. This is a hardcore type of track, both Krazy & T-Bo handle the chorus and real tight the way they did it. Krazy of course comes with some noteworthy bars on this track.

Another one of my favorite tracks is "Throwed In The Game" which features Max Minelli. The beat is on some break a hoes jaw type of shit, its real crunk. Max Minelli and T-Bo make a nice combo and really lay it down super hard on this song.

Rusty Sanders produced "Dirt Road" it features Mike Da Hustla & Lil Witness. The beat is some showdown at the OK Coral type of shit. Some old western shit if you know what I'm talkin about. I guess it's a little similar to "Country Rap Tune" The chorus is sung by some female.

This album has 23 tracks, alot of the songs I didnt even talk, but the majority of the songs on this album are tight. There may be a few tracks you may skip over, but the next person will probably bump them. This album got somethin for everyone. There's 4 Radio versions of songs on this album including one of SCC's classics "Whiteboys" so hopefully the Radio will support T-Bo and give him some BDS spins and the next big time record deal, no he aint signed to No Limit.
