Southern Kartel is a group out of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I've never heard of them before, but I've never heard anything out of Pine Bluff so I decided to pick it up and see how tight it was.

The first track is "As The World Goes Round" this song has a pretty nice beat to it, it aint no crunk song, its a real laid back song. The chorus to this song is sung, its not very catchy at all. The verses on this song are by Smoke, Trump and Playa Fly is featured on it. Playa Fly is the only one with a tight verse.

HAWK drops a verse on the next song "Real Niggas." Hawk does come pretty tight on this song and the beat is pretty nice also.

"Ridin High" starts off real mellow. Smoke drops the first verse, he raps kinda fast on the verse, sometime his shit dont ryhme though. Also the chorus is sung again and its not appealing. This song would've been better with a different chorus, still bumpin though.

"Problems" has the best beat on the album, its filled with organs and is real tight. Trump raps first on the song, he has a pretty nice verse and he's followed by Smoke. The chorus on this track is also sung, this time by a female named Kendra. This one is actually tight though. Its a good song.

"Cant Straighten It Out" has a real tight beat just like the previous song, most of it is played on a piano. Half of the chorus is sung album, but this shit is real nice. The song is about the hardships of everyday life done in the Bluff.

"Love Of The Loot" has a nice beat, its a remake of the Isley's Brothers "Livin For The Love" so you know its gonna be nice. They did a real good job re-doin a beat, its a perfect. The chorus is sung by Ronnie Spencer and he comes tight. The track features Surpriser and Baby Baller and they lay down some tight verses.

"I Cant Trust" is a song by Smoke & Trump. The beat is tight as hell and both Smoke and Trump have real nice verses but the chorus ruined the song.

The best thang about this album to me is the production, the beats are very tight and its got some good artists featured on it.  The fact that most of the choruses are sung is a little upsetting, but the album is still worth gettin, check out some Arkansas flava and pick this junt up.
