The Grenade Posse, I seen this album and noticed it features Playa Fly and Gangsta Blac and that it was produced by one of the best Memphis producers there is in Blackout, so I assumed they was from Memphis, TN. Well I was wrong, they from Arkansas, and this album is the first shit I've heard from Arkansas that I can remember anwyay.

Well the first song features Playa Fly and its a pretty tight song, its called "The Holics" and Playa Fly has a real nice verse on this song, nothin classic but its still bumpin. The next track is "Gangster And Pusher" this is a laid back type song with an R&B type chorus, this song is ok, but its not all that bumpin compared to other tracks on this album. "Barred Out The Projects" is a better soong, its got a real nice beat and lyrics by both members of The Grenade Posse.

The 4th song on this album is "City Slicker And Hog Killers" this track features Indiana Boyz and Johnny Red, one of them flows are similar to a fast Pastor Troy. This is very nice track, but like the other tracks up to this point it aint just bumpin as hell. "Dis Is Grenade" is the next track and this song sounds kinda like some Texas shit, its alright but it probably should have been left off the album.

No tight as hell songs yet, but that is taken care of when Blackout drops some tight ass production on the 6th song "Loose Lips" with an eerie type beat with chimes and voices in the background along with a nice chorus and verses. "Between Us" features Gangsta Blac and Blackout also has real nice production on here with a symphony type feel to the song, this is one of the best tracks on this album and Gangsta Blac probably has the best verse on the album in this song.

"Lifestyles Of The Slick & Gamers" also has REAL tight production by the Memphis veteran producer Blackout, the beat on this song, especially when the chorus comes is real tight. This is very tight track, one of the best on the album. The last track on the song "Get On The Grind" features South Memphis Gangsta and this is another song with a laid back feel to it, its a pretty tight song but nothin special about it.

Blackout is one of the best producers out of Memphis right now and he did a great song on this album, the major weakness of this album is that it only has 10 songs on it. The Grenade Posse is not a deeply talented lyrical group, but maintains throughout the album. This album is a very nice "memphis styled" album and you should pick it up if thats what you like.
