The first track is the up-tempo
"Ugly" it's a very catchy song, I think its one of those songs that you either
love or hate, but you got to respect Timbaland's production. He's got a unique style and
always comes with something new. This is Bubba's sparxxx first single off his album, the
word 'Ugly' is describing the game hereon out from Bubba's persepctive. Tight catchy bars
are dropped all throughout this track.
You always can tell what part of the country people are from by their speach. Bubba
explores his own lingo & accent on the track "Bubba Talk" Samples of a cow
moo-in in the background and a horse neighing set the scene for this country rap song.
A funky bassline introduces you to "Lovely" which will be his 2nd single. Its
kinda got an uptempo soul rythm to it. The beat is real nice, the chorus could've been
alot tighter, its not as good as his first single, but its still bumpin.
I think one of the best songs on here is "Betty Betty" this was on his old album
and I'm glad it ended up on this cd, because its really bumpin. For yall who dont know,
Betty is another word for "girlfriend" this is a song that will make you bounce
too. Its got nice lyrics all through it by Bubba.
"All The Same" is a slower paced song, its features Backbone. If you break this
song down, what they talkin about is different thangs that black folks do and white folks
do and then sayin its all the same. This song could've been left off. It probably
should've been left off or at least done in a different manner, cause the point of the
song was to send a message and at the end of the song, there was no message sent.
Almost sounding like some Neptunes shit is the track "Get Right" this shit is a
head nodder, its perfect, there aint nothin wrong with it, it couldnt be better. This is a
faster song and to keep pace Bubba raps alot faster on this song than he do on other ones.
Another track with a perfect beat on it is "Open Wide" the beat consists of
guitar rifts and a little bit of violins in it. This the type of track you crank up loud
as hell and bang. Its an instant classic, you'll be bumpin this one alot.
"Twerk A Little" is a song featuring Timbaland. They shouldve have made this
song, it aint all that tight at all.
There are few other tracks that were on his old album that appear on this album, most of
them are pretty decent, overall this is a tight album and I got to suggest that yall pick
it up and check it out. |
