Big Pokey's newest, "D-Game 2000" on Chevis Entertainment, starts off with "Untamed Gorilla." This track is mainly a tight piano tune with the bass hittin to keep the beat. Pokey has two pretty tight verses. He slows his flow occasionally and it kinda clashes with the beat. The thing I like the most about this song is the chorus. Against the piano keys you hear someone whisperin 'Watch out, Untamed Gorilla, Gorilla, For rilla'. It sounds tight as shit.

The next track is "Dope Game 2000" This beat starts off with a piano switchin keys back and forth. At first it reminded me of an old No Limit beat. Not a great start. Then this deep tone comes in to improve it a little. The beat wasn't great but I still like it. This song featured Godfather and Mike D of Laftex, two very familiar names with Texas folk. Mike D comes hard on this one, 'militious ambitious injectin CC to ya veins, switchin lanes, with spiders on the flow, bitch this Mike D signin off on you hoes'. Mike D makes this song pretty tight.

Next is "That's All We Had." This song featured Lil O of Game Face. Pokey and Lil O spits a real tight verse but the track got flutes in the background and it reminds me of an R&B or a Puffy beat. I really didn't like it very much. They basically reminiscing about broker days from back in tha day. Next is Menagae 'Tois. This song got Mike D and I like it a lot. They describin females and thangs that happened when looking for a 2-female situation(for those who don't know).

The next song is the one I play first everytime I get to going somewhere. On Choppers, "Down South we roll on choppers". Jhaime did this beat and everything he do I like. Pokey has 2 verses and Big Moe from Wreckshop sings the chorus and a verse in between Pokey's.

#6 is an interlude with Black Poet spittin knowledge. I feel his poems just as much as Pokey ya'll. It's at least worth hearing once, so don't just skip like I did for a while. It's called NI**AS. 'Better days are sure to come, keepin faith in the lord was the way the war was won, for my niggas, that's right my NIGGAS. (Spells it out)NIGGA, which stands for Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished'.

Next is "Swallowed By the Game". Damn this beat is tight. It's a violin goin all crazy mixed with a heavy bassline. Pokey spits ridiculous tight with his verses and even the chorus. Mind and Muscle is next. It got some of that g-string shit with a violin in the background that create a real dramtic setting. Again Pokey comes strong.

#8 is "Still Off tha Chain" and it features H.A.W.K. of Dead End and Carman Sandiego of Perrion. It got like a California funky tight of beat which sounds good with the females singing the chorus. Next is Why Yall Still Talkin Down with Big-E, Chris Ward, and Mafia Mike. This song is aiight but the beat is too busy. It sounds like they just threw lots of sounds in a nice beat. Next is Duck-N-Buss with Godfather. This beat is real tight. It got some deep piano keys throughout the song for the bass. Godfather is real tight on this. The chorus is aiight but the beat and verses make up for it to make one of my favorites.

#12 is "Little Mamas", where Pokey, Godfather, and Chris Ward are spittin game to some females at a club. Boi I am really likin Godfather,'On the way to club getting smokey, navigator me and Pokey, maybe tonight we come out but usually we lo key, move slowly, cats actin like they know me, it's normal I meet a lot of broads that want to blow me'.

"Look Twice" is next with Lil O. This beat is a little faster but Pokey and Lil O both flow nicely. "Throwed-N-Da-Game" is next produced by Jhaime. The beat is real tight. It's one of them that you just start movin to. This chorus is folks singin but in a tight way, like #5.

Next is another from Black Poet, "Hear My Cry". If you listened to his earlier interlude I know you gon be feelin him so peep this one too. #16 features Mafia Mike and Chris Ward. The beat(Jhaime) got a real 70's funk to it. It's tight as shit. For the chorus, this new sound comes from nowhere which makes it even tighter.

#17, "That's the Way", features 1100 and PUFF DADDY. I know I was pissed too when I heard P-Diddy's voice on the track but suprisingly he doesn't ruin this track. The beat got like a church bell sound to it which is real nice with the violin.

"Keep My Name Out Yo Mouth" is the last track. It features Mike D, Willean of Big Shot, 3-2, Mafia Mike, and Chris Ward. This track is real laid back with chimes for part of the beat. Every 2 or 3 lines "Keep my name out yo mouth" is repeated between the folks spittin. 3-2 comes real hard. This song keeps goin for over 5 minutes and is a great song to end the CD.

Big Pokey "Sensei" has been around awhile with the SUC (Screwed Up Click) and this being his second solo album so a lot folks gon already know him. I think his rhymes are really tight and he can definately flow. All the folks featured go real tight. The beats are what you would expect from folks associated with the SUC. If you heard Pokey in the past and kinda liked him then you gon love this. I think this is a must anyway for Southern Folk. You can listen to it wherever you are and like it. I know that me personally gon be lookin out for that Godfather "Before It's Too Late" that should have already dropped but keeps gettin pushed back.
