Al Kapone is back with the 2nd edition of Memphis Drama Vol. 2, it features some of Memphis' buckest and crunkest artists.

The first track is "If You Aint Scared" it features Bang Wang, Al Kapone and Bushwick Bill. The beat is halfway pimpin and half gangsta. Its a real nice beat We havent heard Bushwick Bill on very many Memphis tracks, he is now located in Memphis with his new label Westside Records, (His album droppin soon 'Weary Days, Dreary Nights) he comes pretty tight on this track as does Al Kapone and Bang Wang from Robinson Boys.

E-40 & Eightball join Al Kapone on "Gorilla Milk" If you like E-40, then you'll love his verse, its his typical delivery with the long echo on his words. After 40, Kapone comes in with a tight verse, but the star of this song is Eightball who drops a gem with his verse.

The Taylor Boyz have a solo track next. The Taylor Boyz have been around for a long time and they are one of the best duos in Memphis, you should check out their first release "28 Gramz" and be lookin out for their next album "Re-Up: 2002 Gramz" Their song is called "Watch Out There Now" and this song will grow on you, I wasnt really feelin it at first, because the beat was a little unorthodox, but after awhile of listening to it and peepin their tight flow and delivery it became a bumpin track.

The 5th track is basically an advertisement for Al Kapone's upcomin release "Memphis Godfather" which will feature his classic track "Lyrical Driveby" as well as some other underground tracks by him and some unreleased songs as well.

"Voices" is a track by King JC & O.Z. its some underground hardcore shit, the type of shit that was prevelant in Memphis in 95 and 96. This is the classic underground sound of Memphis' darker side. I wouldnt say tongue twistin in here, but there is some fast rappin on the track, the beat is eerie sounding and has effects all in it, this is a nice track if you like that underground evil sound.

One of the best tracks on the album is "Get Ya Ass On" The first verse is by Kingpin Skinny Pimp and he comes tight as hell on it with some lyrics remeniscent of his older days, following him is Al Kapone, who as usual comes with some crunk lyrics.

Gangsta Blac, one of the elders of the Memphis rap scene, is featured on Memphis 2K. GB is always a guaranteed tight verse and I expected nothin but that from him and he delivered and he stole the show on this track. I would type some of his lyrics out for yall to peep them, but I cant pick any out, I'd end up typin his whole, so check it out when you can. Al Kapone drops a tight verse also, he's talkin about the history of the Memphis rap scene and how its grown over the years.

Al Kapone, DJ Squeeky and Skinny Pimp. 3 more elders of the Memphis rap scene come at you on "They Cant Get None" which is basically a diss song directed at some rappers who think they are the shit, but really are some sellouts who aint shit no more. Al Kapone starts off the roast: 'When you think you locked it down, bitch take a look around.....you'll never stop this underground, when you drop, no respect, cause you never kept it real, just because you got some paper, that dont make you hard as steel" Up next is DJ Squeeky, Squeek Dog is best known for his production and thats what he's best at, but he's still got some skills "And you niggas that be downin me, like Fly, you need be crownin me" Up next is Skinny Pimp and he twists it up a little in this verse, yea like in the good ole days, this is one of his better verses in a minute. Mike The Jerk drops the last verse and he comes tight as fuck, keep your eyes open for him and the Memphis Untouchables.

Robinson Boys are up next, they are from West Memphis, Arkansas. "Them Robinson Boys" This song isnt on one of their first 2 albums, its a new track and this is head-bobba, if you are familiar with Robinson Boys and you like them, then you'll love this track. They all drop tight verses on this track and it has a crunk chorus also.

"Fuck You" is a song by Boss King and this is a track that will grow on you also, the beat basically consists of some strings, some hi-hats and a little piano. But the highlight of this track is the buck chorus, that shit makes me want to break something. Also a highlight is Boss King's verses, he aint now newcomer, pick up his solo album if you got the chance.

King JC, Carly Boo & DJ Trick sample a portion of "Hotel California" by the Eagles for the next track "Check It In" The totally flipped the shit, they are stuck in 95. This sounds like some 95 shit and that aint a bad thang to the Memphis Underground lovers. They made it sound evil and they all drop tight verses especially DJ Trick.

Mr. Litt and Da Unit from Print City Records are next with "Weed Sprung" This is nice track, its a mixture between some funk and some gangsta shit, its a real good weed song, with a chorus that you're gonna love.

This is one of the best Memphis compilations that has ever came out, there are 19 tracks on it and the majority are real tight. If like Memphis shit, even just a little bit, pick this one up cause you'll grow to love it.
