 Who? After a few delays its getting closer to release time for Mike Jones new album "American Dream" Down-South.com caught up with him and chopped it up about his new album droppin July 10th, his club "Ice Age" and the movie that's droppin with his CD.

Down-South: What been up wit u fam?
Mike
Jones: Working on American Dream just staying on the grind.
Down-South: What can you tell me about the album? I’m hearing the new single
everything bumping and shit.
Mike
Jones: You know I got the Mr. Jones we leaked it out for the kids, we got the 64
doin everything in the streets. You know we got some shit for the label we just
trying hook everything in the south.
Down-South: I been seeing you feeling the movie and shit, you got a lot of big
stars and let the people know when it’s goin come out . I seen the trailer it
look real live.
Mike
Jones: The movie come out with the album so when ya’ll Mike Jones fans go get
the CD you can get the movie but when it first come out we goin give away about
200 to 250,00 for free. After that then its goin be on sell we got Paul Wall on
there we got a lot of good people on the movie.
Down-South: What about the album?
Mike
Jones: Uh we got Latoya Luckett on the album Mannie Fresh produced a couple of
songs on there. Lil Moe, Pimp C, Bun B on the album, Snoop Dogg on the record,
T-Pain... we got a lot of good people on the album
Down-South: What about the production?
Mike
Jones: Just a lot of people I got a lot of people I fucked wit before.
Down-South: Shit you done came a long way, since you been an “A List” celebrity
what’s the throwedist shit you did?
Mike
Jones: See what people don’t know is that you could have a million dollars and
still be down to earth you know all this could be gone in like a drop of a dime
we can’t take no for an answer. Nobody tell you can’t let that get you. Even
though I've accomplished alot I still keep it cool you know what I’m saying.
Just keep it humble and cool.
Down-South: Shit what other ventures you doin I heard you say something about
the club, what you doin outside of music and things like that..
Mike
Jones: Yeah we did the “Vince Young” party, a welcome home “DJ Drama” Party,
“Meagan good”, “Chingy”, “Flavor Flav”, you know “Avont” came through, “Carl
Thomas” came through, “Tracy McGrady” came through, everybody come through club
“Ice Age”
Down-South: I really want give you your props you know I’m from Austin and shit
I done seen your whole evolution and its like everything you been talking about
in the interview just keeping it real 100 you might even want to say something
like when you first came out you had like a lot of haters mother fuckers would
always gimmick you I just want to know what keep you strong and keep you on the
grind to reach the top?
Mike
Jones: People thought it was a gimmick but they didn’t know where it came from.
That’s why the movie pretty much shows you where it came from so everybody who
wanna know about Mike Jones about where I came from if you think Mike Jones came
up over night then the movie will show ya’ll .
Down-South: I recently interviewed Paul Wall on down-south.com and he was
talking about working with Chamillionaire again, I was wondering if you and him
would ever hook up again?
Mike
Jones: I'm open to work with anyone as long it makes sense.
