Down-South: Whats good with you man?
Lil Flip: Grindin' dog, had bout thirty shows last week,
like three every night.
Down-South: What are you working on now?
Lil Flip: I got the clover G radio going on now. I'm in my second year now. I'm
on XM radio Clover G radio. It comes on at 6pm eastern. I'm just chilling doing
that shit, and the liquor's doing good. That shit sold the fuck out! The "Gangsta
Lean" soda water is coming soon. My reality show "Flips American Rapper" is
coming soon.
Down-South: Where are we going to be able to watch the show at?
Lil Flip: I cant tell you the network. Its two networks right now. One of them
is offering more money and the other is bigger. So I'm in a catch 22 right now.
The average nigga would have gone with whoever is offering the most money, but
at the same time I want this mother fucker to be seen too. So I hope that shit
will be finalized next week, I started shooting my movie "Crown Me": The auto
biography of my life. It will be out very very soon.
Down-South: Whats your out look on the whole game because you were one of the
first cats to put Texas out there. You feel me? Whats your outlook, and who are
you working with out of Texas?
Lil Flip: My outlook on Texas is that niggas is grindin'. My outlook on the rap
world since I dropped my last album, it used to be about having a jamming ass
album. It's done did a 360 now. Its all about having one jamming ass song, and
most of the one hit wonders is hogging up all the radio play, and TV play, then
when you get their album its just two or three songs. But as far as niggas I'm
helping out of Texas, of course my nigga Z-Ro I got that nigga on the album
three times rapping and he made two beats. I got Pokey and KeKe on the album.
When Z-Ro gets home of course we're doing the "Kings Of The South" volume 2. But
as far as Texas, the Clover G's are on the album C-Note, D-Red, Big Shasta, and
out side of that Nate Dogg is on the album Mya, Three Six, Chamillionaire, Mike
Jones, I even got some reggae on there.
Down-South: Whats up with Crime Boss I heard he is a Clover G now?
Lil Flip: We did a mix tape called "Young Boss Getting Cash" and basically what
I'm doing is, I'm putting up videos new videos I shot like 15 new videos, and
I'm putting out new videos everyday on my Clover G DVD coming out, and I'm also
putting it up on Youtube and Myspace. We got like thirty videos up literally.
Down-South: Tell me about the new album "I Need Mine"
Lil Flip: The album is in stores now. We just switched the single to three
singles. Now we pushing "I Get Money" with Jim Jones. I got a version with Rick
Ross. We pushing the "Fly Boy" single, and we pushing this "Bust A Clip" that's
on the Internet right now. Just tell a mother fucker to look out, and tell my nigga Z-Ro to keep his head up. Tell them go get the album. They're getting 36
songs. If they buy it from Best Buy they get 38 songs. Check out the Clover G
radio on XM. The movie is coming soon. If they want to buy some mother fucking
beats I produce like six tracks on this album the "Fly Boy" record and a few
other records I got a song called "White Cup" I produced. So just tell a mother
fucker to call 501-960-4649 or they can call 832-888-8850. We selling verses
beats all that shit we doing it all and we directing videos. I edit that shit. I
got Avid, Final Cut Pro I do that shit on my own. We're just grinding every
aspect of the board. This chess not checkers.
