That's bad, baseless logic. In my opinion, T.I. is really good, but he's not good because he tricks all of you into buying his CDs, he's good because he can make kickass songs. I mean, you don't worship the people who own his record company, do you? They might be making more than T.I., depending how many artists they have signed on.

Why worship someone for being a master capitalist? Give credit when an artist has actual skill, not when an artist becomes a 'hit' and sells a bunch of records. Being popular and being talented are very unrelated.

Supporting hip-hop today is like waking up every morning and sucking The Man's cock... except now The Man is black sometimes too.

Keep smiling and giving all your money up to the hip-hop industry hoping one day that you'll be able to do all the things rappers talk about in the songs.

If they told you what they actually believe, that money is just a charade, they wouldn't sell any songs (well, maybe they mention shit like this on some of the other songs in the albums, but are these the songs you listen to at parties? didn't think so). When they talk about how loose they are with money (money ain't no thang, right?), you follow suit and end up with an empty wallet after a night of drinking.
