 Out of the West Bank of New Orleans come Baby Boy Da Prince, he spent his early parts of his career opening up for Juvenile, Paul Wall, 50 Cent and more. But now off the success of his hit single "The Way I Live" comes his album "Across The Water"

Lil Boosie is featured on "The Way I Live" which is a feel good track with a real laid back beat, it's one of those songs you bump all summer. The hook is catchy as hell and Boosie drops a real tight verse on it.
Mannie Fresh is featured on "Nah Meen" which is actually about the only bad thing about the song. Because Mannie Fresh cant rap. This song has some snapping in it, which gets annoying after a while, but the bass hits real hard. If like snapping and Mannie Fresh though, you will love this track.
"Rollin To Det" is definately a track you can roll to. The beat is real bumpin with alot of bass and some hi hats in it. The chorus explains the song: "Yall aint rollin to det like me, yall aint hot and fresh like me..."
Another real laid back track on this album is "Rich Boy" The beat is dont even really sound like some rap shit and it'll grow on you. The chorus is also real catchy, I found myself bangin this shit loud as hell.
"Who Sheed" is a much more harder track than most on the album. It's got some low piano in it with alot of snare and some violins. Another hard track is "Fist Rock" which has alot of trumpets in it. This is actually the type of track that could catch you a bo in the club. Real crunk type beat.
Some other tight tracks include "Slide In, Slide Out" and "Do What It Do" There's some tracks on here that you will skip, but overall if you love music from New Orleans, especially some shit you can bounce to, than definately pick this one up. |
