The album starts off with a real bangin track, "We
Boss Hoggin" which is performed by Slim Thug. The
beat is real mellow and laid back.
Following that song is "Wood Wheel" which has a
real slow beat, its almost screwed and has alot of
brass in it with some hi-hats. Slim
Thug, PJ & Sir Daily hold it down on this throwed
track.
"Recognize A Playa" is a trunk rattler, it's
located with bass and it has a little bit of an
old soul feel to it. Chris Ward, PJ, Sir Daily &
Slim
Thug are all featured on this track. The hook is
real tight: "I'm pullin out clean, You already
Know / I'm leanin off the drank and I'm smellin
like the dro / Stacks in my pocket and my shine
gonna glow / better recognize a playa when he step
through the door"
"Badge On My Neck" is performed by Killa Kyleon,
it sounds like some old UGK song. It's tight as
hell, the beat is real crunk, the type of
beat that would start a fight in the club. Killa
Kyleon is also featured on the next track with
Slim Thug & Sir Daily, it's called "Back To Front"
it's a much more laid back song, it has a real
bouncy bassline to it and some nice verses by the
Outlawz.
Some other bangin tracks include "Ride on 4's" by
J-Dawg featuring Slim Thug, "Straight Outta Texas"
by Killa Kyleon, PJ & J-Dawg & "I'm
Fresh" by Young Black.
The first half of the CD is bangin, but it tapered
down some towards the end with tracks I would
consider filler. But it's definately overall a
very tight CD. If you are even just a small fan of
Slim Thug, I suggest you pick this album up. |
