Trick Daddy has been in the game for a while now and along with fellow label mates at Slip-N-Slide, he keeps comin with that thuggish Dirty South style that keeps you crunk!  Our boy Sincere had a chance to holla at Trick Daddy and see whats poppin.

This is Sincere..here with Trick Daddy from Slip-N-Slide Records..how are you doing today?

Chillin

In March, you released an album called Thugs-R-Us..I haven't checked the soundscan numbers on it yet..but are you happy with the album sales for it?

Oh yeah, I'm just ready for the next single

What's the next single planned for it?

It's called I'm a Thug

Coo...what's the next album due out for Slip-N-Slide?

The Bra and Panties album

Most people first heard you on Scarred with Luke, but we haven't really heard you two together since...what happened?

He ain't nothin' but a faggot nigga all about money you know what I'm sayin? We ain't on the same page...Luke a faggot.

When you make your music, what's the group of people you're aiming to reach?

I make my music for the strugglers, for the thugs..you know what I'm sayin! Once you black, you trapped..If you really don't mean it, then don't be a part of it.

What do you think about the hypocrites of rap that write about situations they have never been placed in?

Those hypocrites happen to sell half of the rap music. They have drug addicts in they families, prostitues, as well as drug dealers, as well as other thugs..they probably been on the drugs too or slept with they cousin's best friend. So they tryna' straighten out they life, but at the same time they tryna' use me for conversation. So now, everybody in they family who is with what I'm with, they goin' out and buyin the record when they couldn't have gone out and bought it. Like Eminem..they blew Eminem up..as well as Tupac, they was worried about what Tupac was worried about.

A lot of rappers when they are first starting their career work side jobs...Did you ever do so? If so..what kind of jobs did you work while you were getting your career off the ground?

Have I ever worked? You mean like you get a check with a stub? What is that? What you say about my momma? I went to prison, when I fourteen..the first thing they asked me on the application..they ask your name, date of birth, nationality..your race, and if you ever been convicted of a felony or in prison..so that's the last thing I filled out.

On your earlier work, you hear and artist named Buddy Roe who always came tight...what's the situation with him?

Buddy Roe?.....I don't know..it's like they tryna' trap him up you know what I'm sayin? The state gotta play by the rules.

You have an album that's supposed to come out in October..Do you have a name for it yet and who do you have planned to collaborate with on it?

Yeah..a new album comin out.."It Ain't No Santa Claus"...we got a few songs done for it..it's talkin' about my daddy..and it's a trip that my little girl is 5 years old but I've did more for her for christmas than my daddy did for me and I'm 21 years old...

What's in your CD player right now?

What's in my CD Player? I'm in the dodge right now...it's Hell Razor by Tupac.

What artists are you feelin' other than the Slip-N-Slide camp?

I like the Field Mob..there ain't too many albums out there..I like Tupac..listen to a lot of that gangsta shit.

When growing up, what artists did you listen to?

I grew up listening to NWA, AZ, Kool G. Rap, Special Ed...

Who would you like to work with in the future?

I'd like to work with Mariah Carey..Mary J. Blige..and of course my peoples.

Since this is for an internet site, I'll go ahead and ask you a computer related question....do you think computers help or hurt the music industry and why?

Help or Hurt..good question..I gotta find out how many times people downloaded my shit. It hurt...it don't hurt when you got a 10 million, 5 million fan base because the people still gonna get it..but when you somebody whos' not able, or not ready....like me..right now my fanbase is about 1 million..but I know that I can get it to 3..3 and a half million on the next album, but at the same time..those other 2 1/2 million that I'm tryin' to get, I'll never get that if they download the music for free.

Well, that's all of the questions I have written down here...you have any shout outs you'd like to give?

I'd like to give a shout out to you snitchin' ass niggas and to the fed..keep up the good work, gods for the thugs.
