Lil Wayne Says No To G-Unit |

50 Cent and G-Unit may have received the cold shoulder from Mr. Lollipop himself. Lil' Wayne recently revealed he was in talks to go on tour with the Unit, but seems to have had a change of heart… Wayne told MTV, "Um, that one, I don't think is gonna work no more. It was something that ain't went right." Read More for the rest of the article.
Aside from that terrible use of the English vernacular, maybe that "something" was 50's self-admitted "dud" album released last year or Young Buck's recent discharge from the G-Unit camp. Either way, the Unit's star power looks to be a little dim these days and Wayne is already eyeing his next move.
"I think I might go [on tour] with Keyshia Cole," Wayne said. "You're bringing two different types of people in there. You got people coming to soothe their souls with Keyshia, and you got people who wanna throw their hands up with me."
It seems that artists are beginning to wisely follow the lead of Mary J. Blige and Jay Z's "Heart of the City" Tour by hitting the road as a hip hop/R&B superpackage. Rhianna is currently touring the country with Kanye West as part of the "Glow in the Dark" Tour (coming to Nissan Pavilion Saturday). A Lil' Wayne-Keyshia Cole bill could deem very successful for both artists, and Keyshia has mutual feelings. Keyshia told MTV, "I'mma kidnap him and take him on tour with me. We gotta make sure we get to-gether on that."
"It's like listening to the radio," Wayne continued. "I think a concert should be like listening to the radio. When you listen to the radio, and your top five or top eight songs come on, it's hip-hop, it's R&B. I think you gonna get that from me and Keyshia and whatever in between that."
No official word on this one yet, but stay tuned.
