Pastor Troy "Stay Tru" Review |

Many people say it
will be difficult for Pastor Troy to come back
harder than his last album Face Off: Part II, but
he has proves everyone wrong before. He may come
back just as hard the only thing I think the album
will lack is one thing...something else to rap
about.
The first track on the album is the CDs name "Stay
Tru". One of the best lyrically performance on the
album hands down. Great beat and hook maybe the
best track on the album.
"Me Actin' Up" maybe the next Ridin' Big. His flow
goes perfectly with the beat but the only downside
is that he (Pastor Troy) has rapped about his
truck for so long it is getting kinda boring to
listen too.
"Lyin' Bout Her Crib" is a high point on the
album. It's a different song for Pastor Troy as in
the way he spits it too you, its kinda like a
story. You can see in your mind what is happing in
the song which is a good thing to do in a song.
"Police Can't Break It Up" is his first single off
the album and for a good reason. This song reminds
me very much of his last album single "Just To
Fight". With a very active beat and chorus it will
be popular in the clubs, maybe even the next
souths' crunk theme song.
His first low point on the album is "Where The
Hoes". This may be the worst beat I have heard in
my life. All the hook is Pastor Troy says "where
the hoes?" 7 times. Also it may be his worst
lyrical performance ever.
"Whatcha Say" is a good song but it was on his
D.S.G.B. album so its nothing new but what is new
and good is "Attitude Adjuster". Great beat
match's his lyrics and flow good. The only bad
thing about it is him sayin "I got my attitude
adjuster" gets kinda repetitive after awhile.
"Get Down or Law Down" has so much potential to be
a great song with help
from two of his DSGB member it has great lyrics
and flow. The only thing wrong is the beat and
production. He had better production on his first
album.
This hasn't his best album but it is note worthy.
The real question when you thing about a CD you
bought you say to your self. If I ever lose this
album will I by it again? The answer is yes. So
congrats PT for another solid album. |
