Puma Celebrates Sixty Years

Puma, established in 1948, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a series of events across the country, including three free concerts.
If you’re in the New York area, check out, Charles Hamilton along with The Knux, Chester French and Jus Ske at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on December 1.

Females Earning Money

Ladies stand up! FEM (Females Earning Money), the all female supergroup consisting of Lady Luck, former Da Band member Babs and the west coast’s own Rage, just dropped their debut mixtape: Set It Off – The F.E.M edition.
The mixtape, hosted and arranged by DJ Doo Wop and Shadyville DJ’s pays “homage to real Hip-Hop” and will feature FEM’d remixes to some new school hits and classic bangers like “Grindin” by The Clipse, Camp-Lo’s “Luchini” and Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones.”

50 Speaks On Album Delay

First people said it was the recession that was forcing 50 to postpone the release of his fourth-coming album Before I Self Destruct. Then it was that he wanted to give the fans more content. Well Fif has finally spoken up. He tells MTV that it’s “just the positioning.” Not really the definitive answer anxious 50 fans were probably hoping for as they wait three more months til the new February 3rd release date.

The North Carolina Department of Revenue will auction off hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry confiscated from drug-dealers. The pieces to be auctioned include watches from Jacob & Co. and Breitling valued at $29,500 and $38,000 and a diamond gorilla pendant valued at $21,600 despite a missing stone.
If you’re in North Carolina on Thursday and you got a cool 30 to 50 stacks burning a hole in your pocket, stop on by the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh for the auction.

Big Boi Goes Undercover

Rapper Big Boi of Outkast is expanding his acting resume with a guest spot on the hit NBC show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. In the two part episode, scheduled to air November 25th, Big plays “Gots Money” — a rapper who becomes an undercover agent after getting caught up in an underground animal smuggling ring.
